Bhagwat Kishore is today a very popular singer and stage show performer. Born in Delhi, singing was a hobby from childhood, which was later adopted as a profession. His wife Rajwinder Kaur is also a renowned singer.
Bhagwat Kishore had received his Initial training from Late Pandit Shiv Prasad Ji and thereafter by his son Pandit Jwala Prasad Ji, who needs no introduction in the world of music.
Bhagwat specializes in Ghazals, Geet, Bhajan Sandhyas, Jagran, Chowki, Shabad and Folk Songs. Most of the songs, ghazals and bhajans are composed by him and sung in many languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Haryanvi, Rajasthani and Bengali.
Bhagwat has performed innumerable Stage Shows under his Musical Group all over India. His most outstanding shows were with celebrities like Ravindra Jain, late Mahendra Kapoor, Nitin Mukesh, Sudesh Bhosle, Sulakshna Pandit, Hem Lata, Hans Raj Hans, Pakistani Singer Reshma, Late Asa Singh Mastana, Surinder Kaur, Narender Chanchal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Richa Sharma, Jaspinder Narula, Sonu Nigam and Arjun. His performances has been commended by stalwards like Dilip Kumar, late Rajesh Khanna, Shashi Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, late Rajendra Kumar, late O.P. Ralhan, Johny Lever, late B.R. Chopra, Raj Babbar, late Smita Patil, Minakshi Seshadri and Pinaz Masani etc.,
Bhagwat has travelled widely abroad too and presented shows in Singapore, London, Bulgaria, Nepal, Dubai, Bahrain, Muscat, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Bangkok, Khatmandu, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah etc.,
Whereas his trip to Bulgaria was organized by Wasan Co. to promote Indian Culture in foreign countries, the show in London was sponsored by Indo-British Cultural Society. These programmes included Stage Shows and Vishal Bhagwati Jagrans. Bhagwat has also sung for Sun Cassettes and Sishodiya Cassette Co. Programmes aired on Delhi Doordarshan.. He has also given music and sung songs for Lashkara Channel in two serials “Sas Tatti, Noo Kapatti” and “Daftar-e-Kamal”. The Latest cassette now being released by Venus is on Maan Ki Bheten titled “Maan-Ki-Chunaria”.

He is the proud winner of prestigious awards of Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, Club, Haryana Club and Rajdhani Kala Niketan He was also bestowed with Delhi Ratna Award in 1993. Bhagwat’s Songs and interview were broadcast on “BBC” and honored by none other than Mayor of Walsall, Mr. Cyril Leaker who acknowledged the singing talent.
